I certainly hope not as physicians accross the country are following the guidelines recommended by their perspective medical organizations.

Some people like to cover their butts — if I led a large organization and said that vaccines were safe, and causal relationships (of any nature) were arising, I would either have to admit that there’s a problem and then work to fix the problem (the hard thing) or cover my butt and say there’s no problem. Some people choose to cover their butts more than others.
