My doctor has prescribed 5000 i.u. daily. I had no idea! My partner's levels were only two points higher, and is also taking the same dose. This is nothing I would have ever thought about if it hadn't been brought to my attention by my health care professional. Hopefully the awareness spreads! Thanks for this!
