It would be even more interesting to see what kind of results they could get by using insoluble fiber instead of surgery to curb appetite and give the feeling of satiety.  Use high fiber foods with a bariatric diet and see the compliance results compared to the different surgeries.  The cost and risk would be dramatically lower.
