Stethoscopes  are the most widely used tool by physicians.  With them, we are able to listen to heart, lungs, arteries and intestines.  A physician is able to tell if there is heart disease, pneumonia, bronchitis, carotid stenosis, renal artery stenosis and a host of many other problems.
